The draft bill amending the Judicature Act, regarding the revision of the retirement age for High Court, District Court, and Magistrates’ Court judges, has been officially published via gazette.
Accordingly, the bill proposes to raise the mandatory retirement age for all judges and magistrates to 62 years.
Furthermore, it also proposes to increase the total number of High Court judges from 110 to 120.
