The Court of Appeal yesterday (03) concluded considering the writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, which seeks an order preventing his arrest and detention in connection with the ongoing investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Accordingly, the Court of Appeal announced that the decision on whether or not to grant leave to proceed with the petition will be delivered on September 22.
Furthermore, the bench directed both the petitioners and respondents to submit their written submissions, if any, on or before August 31.
