Lanka Sathosa has decided to reduce the prices of 11 essential food items with effect from today (24), the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development announced in a statement.
Accordingly, consumers will be able to purchase these items at discounted relief prices across all Lanka Sathosa outlets island-wide.
Lanka Sathosa further stated that this price revision was carried out in line with the government’s program to provide essential goods to the public at affordable prices.
