Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns Amid Rising Protests

Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his post today (25) amidst widespread public protests sparked by exam paper leak allegations.

The Minister’s resignation follows days of continuous and intense demonstrations by students and youth across the country.

The Indian central government reportedly attempted to suppress the demonstrations using security forces, but after those efforts failed, the Education Minister officially announced his resignation this afternoon.

The wave of youth protests erupted over severe irregularities surrounding the NEET medical entrance exam, with major allegations directed straight at Dharmendra Pradhan.
