It is reported that Ranil Wickramasinghe has wasted more than 131 million rupees of public money by disrupting the provincial election by using his power arbitrarily.
The Election Commission and the government press bore the basic expenses related to that election. However, due to the deceitful disruption of the election, public money was wasted, and the basic expenses, including the bail money of the parties and independent groups that participated in the election, were wasted heavily.
In particular, the printing work related to the local government elections, carried out by the government press, will be done again next year. It is estimated that much money will be spent on it.
