The Mahanayakes have told the leaders of the NPP that only the NPP is left as a group that can be trusted to rescue the people and the country from the abyss that the country has fallen into.
The NPP leader, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and the National Executive Member of the NPP, K. D. Lalkantha, met the Mahanayake Theros of the Matwatte and Asgiriya Chapters yesterday (19) in Kandy.
It is reported that the discussion bent on the heavy tax burden, the collapse of the standard of living, and how the country is further being led to economic bankruptcy. Also, special attention was paid to the holding of the upcoming presidential election.
