The public petition signed by the Universal Preschool Forum across the country was handed over yesterday (29) to NPP Member of Parliament, Dr Harini Amarasuriya, to get the government’s attention to find solutions to the crises that preschool teachers are confronted with.
The sorry state the early childhood education is faced with currently, the fact that the economy has collapsed to the extent that teachers cannot survive, the situation is so drastic that many preschools have been closed, and the government’s lethargic attitude toward preschool education was discussed.
