Teachers’ and principals’ unions organized protests in front of schools across the island yesterday (27th) afternoon.
The protests were held to protest against the government’s move to deploy anti-riot police battalions to brutally attack the protest of the teacher-principal alliance held on the 24th in front of the Ministry of Education. The peaceful protest was attacked with water cannon, tear gas and rubber bullets.
Accordingly, after school ended at 1.30 p.m. yesterday, the teachers and principals protested in front of their schools. A large group of teachers participated.
