EU majority against Israel

More than 800 top officials of the European Union have protested in writing, condemning the Israelis for their attacks boasting that they would eradicate Hamas organization but have killed more than 4,000 civilians in the Gaza Strip.
According to the international media, the officials have also condemned the unrestricted and uncontrolled support given to Israel by the head of the European Union, Unusula Vanderlein. 27 countries belong to the European Union, and those officials have also criticized France along with the United States which represent the United Nations Security Council, for supporting Israel.
According to a resolution presented to the Security Council on Friday, it has been requested to stop the bombing of Gaza and enter into negotiations immediately. However, the United States has vetoed it, and Japan and France have also voted against the resolution. Nevertheless, political observers have pointed out that Britain’s abstaining from voting is an interesting development.
The UN Security Council is composed of 15 countries. Out of that, 11 countries have protested against the bombing by Israel, and the USA, Japan, and France have approved it while Britain has remained silent.
