Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has admitted that his two daughters and a consultant have applied for visas through a document of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute, as stated in the attachments of the report prepared by the Auditor General regarding the serious irregularities and frauds committed in the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute.
The sports minister has admitted this in response to a question posed by a ‘Neth FM’ journalist. He had said that he had advised Sudath Chandrasekara, his advisor, to apply for a visa to see his son studying in Australia, and he admitted that Sudath Chandrasekara had obtained visas for the two daughters through a list of the cricket organization. However, Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has said that his two children did not go to Australia and that his advisor Sudath Chandrasekhara is among those who obtained visas through the cricket company’s visa application company.
