Petition from former AG to Court of Appeal

Former Attorney General Dappula de Livera has filed a petition in the Court of Appeal regarding the summons issued to him by the Terrorist Investigation Division to obtain a statement.
Former Attorney General was informed by letter on two occasions to appear before the Terrorist Investigation Division on the 19th and 21st to obtain a statement regarding his comments on the Easter attack. As he did not participate on both occasions, the hearing was postponed again. A letter had been sent Today (24th) calling for his statement.
On the 19th, former Attorney General submitted a 7-page protest document to the Terrorism Investigation Division through a lawyer.
