Anura Dissanaka, the leader of the National People’s Power and the JVP arrived at Maradana Police Station to meet the youths who were arrested during the protest march of the Socialist Youth Association.
85 young men and women, including monks and lawyers, were arrested.61 of them were detained at Maradana Police Station, and another 24 were detained at Slave Island Police.
