No stability without deals – Vajira Abeywardena

President of the UNP Vajira Abeywardena says that though some people express the view that Ranil Wickremesinghe is a deal maker, he would like to say that without deals, there will be no political stability. Those unable to engage in deals would not be able to do politics in this country.
He also said that the priority for building the country should be to formulate a national policy framework that will continue for 20 years rather than a constitutional amendment.
He emphasized that the people had failed to make Ranil Wickremesinghe, the national leader, the President of the country to achieve the goal of a developed Sri Lanka, but that is now happening in the country.
He was speaking at a UNP active meeting in the Galle district. Speaking further, the President of the UNP said, “Some people call me the Vajira Dealer. If there is no deal, we cannot do politics. The leader is a dealer. Without a deal, there is no political stability. If there is no deal in the economy, it cannot recover.”
