Fever for more than two days? Seek medical advice immediately – DD of Health Services

Deputy Director of Health Services, Dr Hemantha Herath said that if a fever persists for more than two days, medical advice should be sought immediately.

He points out that there is an increased risk of patients dying due to dengue these days.
He said, “We generally expect the outbreak of dengue from May to September. Dengue is not like covid. You cannot escape with a meter away. It is likely to spread faster than covid. Therefore, do all you can to prevent dengue. It is important to seek medical advice if you have a fever for more than two days. Do not wait, thinking you will get well soon.”
