Second post-mortem on servant girl conducted

The second post mortem on the body of 16-year-old Ishalini Jude, who died of burns while working as a servant in the house of MP Rishad Bathiudeen, was conducted at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital morgue yesterday (31st), said Senior DIG Ajith Rohana.
The postmortem examination was conducted by a Board of Judicial Medical Officers that included Professor of Forensic Medicine Jean Perera, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Colombo, Dr Sameera Gunawardena, Head and Senior Lecturer, Department of Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo and Dr Prabhath Serasinghe, Specialist in Forensic Medicine, Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.
Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana stated that a CT scan was carried out to find out the internal injuries and fractures of the girl’s body and the autopsy was carried out for 9 hours from 8.30 am to 5.15 pm yesterday.
