Racketeers & fraudsters at large – Siddhika to be punished

It is reported that the Director-General of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution Dr Siddhika Senaratne is being blamed for all the wrongdoings in importing poisonous food to the country, and the government is trying to suspend her and wash their hands from the issue.
In a recent interview with a private TV channel, Dr Senaratne stated that many more food and beverages imported into the country contain toxins, but it is not disclosed as companies would crumble. Currently, there is a massive outcry in the country regarding poisonous foods.
Speaking on another private TV channel, the President of the Public Health Inspectors Association Upul Rohana said the toxic foods and beverages had been imported over the years wriggling through loopholes in the rules and released to the market without any hindrance.
However, instead of exposing the officials and politicians who work with the racketeering companies that import these poisonous foods to the country, the government is preparing to shift the blame on Siddhika Senaratne and wriggle out of the issue.
