The National People’s Power (NPP) has gained control of the Kalutara Municipal Council, marking a notable advancement for the party at the local government level.
Dhanoj Somaratne, representing the NPP, was elected with 17 votes. The opposition received 13 votes, while one vote was declared invalid.
