The US Embassy in Sri Lanka announced that its travel advisory regarding the Arugambay area has been withdrawn.
On the 23rd of October, the US Embassy in Colombo issued a security advisory advising travellers to avoid the Arugambay area until further notice. The US has now removed the notification it requested from US citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also requested that the US Embassy in Sri Lanka withdraw the security alert imposed on the country.
