Xi Jinping elected president for the third time

Chinese President Xi Jinping has been appointed as the country’s president for a third term. The National People’s Congress voted 2,952 to 0 to re-elect Mr Xi.
Mr Xi’s power comes from his being the General Secretary of the Communist Party and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), and foreign media have reported that he has the unanimous approval of the Chinese Communist Party.
Accordingly, Xi Jinping becomes the most powerful leader after Mao Zedong who led the Chinese revolution.
