Samantha Vidyaratne, the national executive member of the National People’s Power (NPP), challenges the appointed President Ranil Wickramasinghe to hold a vote if possible, win it and sit in the presidential chair.
Speaking at a meeting of the NPP held in Dehiattakandiya, he further stated that Ranil Wickramasinghe could not be allowed to act in an anti-democratic way. He said that Ranil Wickramasinghe has no ability to solve the present dangerous situation in the country, and he said that at present Ranil Wickramasinghe is only working to please the Members of Parliament of Pohottuwa party who voted for him.
He also emphasized that Ranil Wickramasinghe is working to establish a multi-party government for the country suffering from a three-way economic, political and social crisis.
A large number of people were present. JVP Ampara District Member of Parliament Wasantha Piyatissa, Dehi Attakandiya Pradeshiya Sabha member of the JVP AMMM Rathwatte also addressed the gathering.
