Case against handing over ‘Yugadanavi’ to America to be heard

It is reported that the fundamental rights case filed against the transfer of the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi power plant to an American company has been taken for hearing.
The case is being heard before a five-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya and Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Priyantha Jayawardena, Vijith Malalgoda and LTB Dehikanda.
Fundamental rights petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court by several parties, including political parties and civil society organizations.
