It is a blessing not to be a Minister – Susil Prema Jayantha

Mr Susil Prema Jayantha, who was removed from the post of Minister of State, says that removing him from the post of Minister is not a big deal for him and that he, a lawyer, will go to court from tomorrow.
The former Minister made these comments to the media today (4th) in response to questions raised by journalists when he visited the State Ministry of Education Reforms and Open Universities and Distance Education Promotion to remove his belongings after he was removed from the post.
The former Minister speaking further said, “I have heard that I have been removed from the post of state minister. These are not so big things. I became a Minister in 2000 as soon as entered Parliament. I have worked under three presidents. I have a profession and will be going to court from tomorrow. When I went to the market the day before yesterday, one of you came and asked me about the prices of goods. A kilo of chillies is Rs. 1,200. I said agriculture has completely failed. Policy decisions taken have failed. We spoke on behalf of the people. I think something must have been said in the cabinet as well. There are responsibilities. Those who cannot even become a sanitation worker according to their educational qualifications cannot understand the value of education.” Said Mr Prema Jayantha.
