The Urban Development Authority (UDA) under the President has launched a campaign on social media to attack the Buddhist priests who were protesting against the destruction of the ancient break-water of the Parakrama Samudra tank bund at Polonnaruwa.
The campaign was launched with the help of a man who claims to be the engineer in charge of the Walking Lane project and Parakrama Samudhraya.
The Maha Sangha Ratna and farmers carried out a protest against the project to construct the walking lane today (27th). It was announced that the construction of the lane had been suspended due to the protest. However, the social media campaign maintained by the government with the money of the racketeers has now launched a propaganda campaign against the Maha Sangha and the farming community.
