Go for country lockdown immediately – 10 government parties demand

Ten government allies have said the country will be like a hell town in another ten weeks and have called on President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to listen to medical advice and close the country for at least three weeks.
In a letter to the President, signed by the leaders of 10 government partner parties, it has been suggested that an all-party mechanism be set up to deal with the situation, considering it as a national disaster.
The letter further states that although the President is adamant that the country will not be shut down, the entire mechanism has become inactive due to the self-lock-down by the general public.
