Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Minister of State for Primary Health Care, Epidemiology and Disease Control, says that doctors warn that the Delta variant may be the main covid variety in the country in the next 08 weeks.
She points out that this could be a very serious situation if people do not follow proper health guidelines.
She further said, “Experts researching these virus strains, in particular, have warned that if safety measures are not taken, the Delta strain will become the main strain of the virus in the country in another 8 to 10 weeks.”
