Anura questions gas fraud that torments people

The government has allowed the price of goods to rise freely, and the government was in a difficult situation when JVP leader Anura Dissanayake questioned in Parliament today (22) regarding the decision taken to increase the price of gas fraudulently.
Responding on behalf of the government, Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena had to acknowledge the fraudulent attempts of the gas company raised by Anura Dissanayake. However, the Minister said that the supply of gas in litres is an introduction to new products and that research units in several universities have requested reports in this regard.
Anura Dissanayake again questioned the Minister for not giving direct answers but for “going around the bush”. In the face of these questions, the government was unable to provide clear answers. The MP criticized the government for reducing the amount of gas contained in a cylinder to compensate for the inability to increase the gas price.
