Cabinet approves import of 100,000 metric tons of rice

The Cabinet has proposed to import 100,000 metric tons of rice to prevent an abnormal rise in the price of rice in the local market.

The proposal made by Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena, was approved by the Cabinet.
