The spread of the covid epidemic in the country has reached its peak, says the President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association, Dr. Padma Gunaratne.
Dr. Padma Gunaratne says that the number of infected people could increase rapidly if the country’s restrictions are relaxed. She says the Delta strain is very severe and spreads rapidly.
She says travel restrictions in force may have to be extended further if they are not properly enforced.
