Ads already posted in port city while Supreme Court decision is still pending

Although the hearing of the petitions before the Supreme Court regarding the establishment of the Colombo Port City Commission is due to be decided, advertisements have been published in the newspapers based on the views expressed in court.
The Sri Lanka Exchange Commission, the Board of Investment and the Ministry of Tourism have jointly spent public money on the port city. The Port City of Colombo, as examined in the Supreme Court, is not governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. This commission has bypassed the Colombo Municipal Council, and the members of this commission will establish a state that is not subject to the country’s law. The port city is not bound to answer to parliament. These are the answers given in the advertisements.
Here, the facts brought up in the Supreme Court have been distorted and wrong interpretations been given to them.
