Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama has ordered the arrest and production before court of former Minister Wimal Weerawansa.
The order was issued after he failed to appear in court today (21) regarding a case involving a 2016 protest outside the United Nations office in Colombo, which caused public inconvenience by blocking the road.
The Cinnamon Gardens Police had filed the case against him for demonstrating in a manner that obstructed the public and vehicular traffic near the UN office.
