‘Prohibition orders are issued after pyramid racketeers escaped
The Central Bank is following extremely sloppy measures regarding the pyramid rackets that have grasped the whole country, but the announcement of banning such institutions was issued only on the 24th.
Before this, notices were issued to ban eight such establishments only after large-scale racketeers had fled. It has been revealed that more than 80 pyramid racketeering organizations are operating all over Sri Lanka.
The central bank follows measures to allow such institutions to operate freely across the country and occasionally ban a few.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe also participated in a religious ceremony at the Mahiyangana Rajamaha Vihara despite it having been revealed before that a pyramid organization entirely sponsored the event. Meanwhile, the sponsorship of a pyramid company had also been obtained for the recently concluded LPL tournament.
