Shiranthi Rajapaksa, wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, left for Singapore from Katunayake Airport early this morning (16).
She was accompanied by Anne de Livera, the mother-in-law of Rohitha Rajapaksa. They reportedly departed around 1:10 AM today aboard Singapore Airlines flight SQ-469.
Her departure comes as a notable development, given that the former First Lady had been summoned to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on the 24th to record a statement.
