COLOMBO (LankaTruth) – The No-Confidence Motion brought by the opposition against Minister of Justice, Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara, was defeated by a majority of 116 votes.
A total of 152 votes were cast against the motion, while only 36 votes were cast in favor.
Although 37 opposition Members of Parliament had signed the motion submitted to the Speaker, only 36 MPs voted in favor during today’s parliamentary vote.
