Several top officials of the Central Bank accused of the controversial central bank bond scam have been suspended as part of investigations into the bond scam.
Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe has confirmed the suspension. It is a vital step in the Central Bank’s internal investigation into the bond scam.
It has also been stated that, according to the Attorney General’s instructions, the relevant internal investigations will continue.
