Three, including Aloysius, sentenced for VAT tax evasion

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has sentenced three persons, including the director of W.M. Mendes Company, Arjun Aloysius, to 06 months imprisonment for defaulting on the payment of VAT.
The Inland Revenue Department had filed this case against Arjun Aloysius and others for failing to pay the VAT amount of 3.5 billion rupees due to the government.
