Luxury lives led by leaders while people were suffering should be exposed – Lalkantha

K.D. Lal Kantha, National Executive Member of National People’s Power, says people should know how luxurious the leaders of this country have been while the people of the country were suffering.
He said this in a press conference held on the 3rd at Devon Rest, Yatinuvara Street, Kandy.
He said that in the future, the people of this country will be able to see the condition of the mansions of the retired presidents. However, there are reports that some people are trying to move the belongings of these mansions to other places, fearing that these will be displayed.
NPP National Executive Member said, “Those who did not know how the country’s politicians used the people’s resources should know them. We are holding more displays for that. This can be an issue for those who have had fun squandering people’s money. In the past, the president has appointed his own people to irrelevant positions and given them vehicles.
When a leader wanted to give a position to a friend, a position was created for him or her. Is it wrong for the people of this country to know these things? The people are against fraud and corruption and believe that those who commit them should be punished. These are like thorns in the eye of those who have enjoyed themselves with people’s money.
Chandra Siri Wijenayake, Former municipal councillor of Kandy Municipal Council, also participated in this event.
