Following the appointment as the new President, the Chiefs of Defence Forces paid a traditional courtesy call on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (4) at the Presidential Secretariat.
Accordingly, Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Army Commander Lieutenant General VikumLiyanage, Air Force Commander Air Marshal UdeniRajapaksa and Navy Commander Vice Admiral PriyanthaPerera met with the President and engaged in a cordial conversation.
Commemorative tokens were also presented to mark the occasion.
