President’s Media Division states that roads around the Colombo Fort President’s House, which had previously been closed due to roadblocks, have been reopened. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has ordered the reopening.
The President’s House and its surrounding area, once a high-security zone closed off to the public during the previous regimes, is now open for public access.
However, with President Dissanayake’s appointment, all roadblocks have been lifted.
Accordingly, Sir Baron Jayathilaka Mawatha and Janadhipathi Mawatha will be accessible to the public from tomorrow (28).
