It has been revealed that plans are in place to release a wave of fake opinion polls in the week before the presidential election.
Interestingly, all these fake surveys have been planned against the NPP candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake. A lot of pain has been taken to Indicate that the surveys are internationally recognized, as some ‘look like’ foreign organizations have also been contacted and created. The data will be presented by pointing out that surveys have been conducted in various ways since the beginning of this year, and the survey institutes were the same ones that firmly predicted Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s win.
The data presented in this way is planned to be repeated by some TV channels, some newspapers and social media operators who have shown themselves to be independent so far. It will continue to spread as an organized propaganda chain.
Though the Election Commission has made some efforts to prevent the publication of such opinion polls, these efforts have been futile.
