Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe states that more than 80% of voters cast votes on postal voting days held in the past few days as part of the presidential election to be held on the 21st.
He says that this observation was made by comparing the number of extra ballot packets received at the post offices.
Postal voting took place on 04, 05, and 06, and it is reported that those who were unable to vote will have two additional days, September 11 and 12, to vote by post.
