13 of  54 MPs, including President & Vice President, have left Sajith –

Thirteen of the 54 MPs who were elected to Parliament from SJB have left the party.
Political analysts say that these MPs have left Sajith Premadasa due to internal conflicts, frustration and disagreements among MPs, as well as the fact that the members and organizers of the Pohottu Party, who were rejected by the people, became the organizers of SJB and the signs of Sajith Premadasa’s defeat. It is also said that Jalani Premadasa’s interference in the party’s operations is a strong factor in these MPs and many others in the party leaving it .
Apart from that, the top officials of the SJB, who were not elected in the last parliamentary election, local organizers and Divisional organizers, are seen leaving.
Sajith Preamadasa, say analysts.
Among the people who have left are the Vice President of SJB P Harrison and its President, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka.
Rajitha Senaratne, AHM Faucy, Vadivel Suresh, Aravind Kumar, M. Velukumar, Kumar Welgama, Ali Sabri Rahim, SMM Musharraf, and Ishaq Rahman also left. It is also reported that more than 25% of the population left.
These departures are expected to have a significant impact on the political landscape, potentially altering the balance of power and alliances.
