It is revealed that the internal rebellion in Gampaha District has intensified to the point where SJB stalwarts demand the appointment of Ajith Mannapperuma or Edward Gunasekara as the SJB’s Gampaha District leader.
Earlier, ten SJB electoral organizers of the district gathered at Ajith Mannapperuma’s house and held a preliminary discussion. Everyone had agreed that Harshana Rajakaruna should be removed from the district leadership. However, no one had been named to be appointed in his place.
Nevertheless, Sajith Premadasa has ignored the ten electoral organizers’ written request. He continues to work with Rajakaruna, and it is revealed that the ten electoral organizers are preparing to discuss the matter further with Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka.
