Authorities continue to overlook the church’s plea for a thorough investigation into the Easter Sunday bombings. However, according to the Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, their commitment to justice remains steadfast.
Cardinal Ranjith expressed this resolve following his visit to pay tribute to Tilina Harashni, who passed away on Monday after enduring five years of suffering from injuries sustained in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings.
“The immense suffering Tilina endured for five years after the attack is in our prayers,” added Cardinal Ranjith.
