“Difficult to live” – CTB employees take to the streets demanding 20,000

All Ceylon Transport Workers’ Union has launched a protest campaign stating they cannot bear the burden of living and demanding an allowance of 20,000 rupees.
According to Sepala Liyanage, General Secretary of the All Ceylon Transport Workers Union, the protest was scheduled to be held in front of Central Bus Station at Colombo Pettah at noon today (24th).
He points out that the fuel price has increased to an unsustainable level, the cost of food and drink has also increased, and the costs of children’s education are very high. He said it is a situation the workers cannot bear.
