The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued a notice yesterday (16th) asking former President Maithripala Sirisena to appear in court on October 14 in connection with a case related to the Easter Sunday attack.
Former President was noticed after considering a personal complaint submitted by Father Cyril Gamini and Jesusdasan Nadesan, a victim of the Easter attack, before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage. In the said complaint, former President Maithripala Sirisena has been named as the suspect for negligence and failure to prevent the terrorist attack on Easter Sunday.
