Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the fuel price was increased according to the price formula and that the fuel price formula could be activated every night.
Some time back, former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera had also introduced a fuel price formula which many in the present government criticized.
The price formula includes fuel import, landing, delivery cost and taxes and according to the price formula, the price change will be implemented every night or once a month, the Minister said.
