It is confirmed that the President and the government have launched a new attempt to place all the responsibility on Nilantha Jayawardena, the former head of the state intelligence service, who has been identified as the main culprit in preventing the Easter attack.
President’s Counsel Mohan Weerakoon revealed this at a media briefing held at the Presidential Media Unit on the 19th. He has stated that “the former head of the state intelligence service Nilantha Jayawardena is responsible for not taking proper action according to the information given in advance regarding the Easter Sunday attack.”
After Gotabaya Rajapaksa came to power, Nilantha Jayawardena was promoted to the post of Senior DIG. His designation was lowered a few days ago, and the betrayal was carried out by a lawyer at a press conference held by the Presidential Media Unit.
It is interesting to note that the Presidential Media Unit has betrayed the former head of state intelligence in the wake of allegations that Gotabaya Rajapaksa conspired politically, especially in connection with the Easter attack.
