Strong accusation from Cardinal to the police

Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has accused the police of fabricating stories rather than searching for the truth about the grenade planted at the All Saints Church in Borella.
He has stated at a press conference held yesterday (13th) that there is a serious suspicion that observing only the evening CCTV footage of the incident and avoiding the morning footage is an attempt to mislead the investigation.
Cardinal said, “The man enters the church wearing black trousers and pretending to be limping. Looking around, he sits next to the statue near the last row of benches. When a Catholic enters a church, he makes the sign of the cross, but we see that this person doing it the wrong way. Without praying, he stands in the corner and pulls something out of his pocket. It looks like a sack. At that time a church servant was walking by. Seeing this, this person gets upset and walks away quickly. He comes out of the church in a hurry and walks without any limp.”
He further challenged the IGP and the police media spokesman and asked them to take off their uniforms and go home if they could not stand up on behalf of the truth.
