Central Bank Gold reserves drained

It is reported that the official gold reserves of Sri Lanka have decreased rapidly due to the massive foreign reserves crisis faced by Sri Lanka.
By the beginning of 2022, the value of the Central Bank’s official gold reserves had fallen to US$ 175.4 million. In November 2021, the value of those gold reserves stood at US$ 383.2 million.
However, at the end of December 2021, the value of the Central Bank’s gold reserves stood at US$ 175.4 million. In December alone, Gold reserves worth US $ 207.8 have been released.
