The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has seized a foreign-manufactured revolver and 12 rounds of live ammunition hidden inside a house in the Mattakkuliya area.
The seizure was made based on information revealed during the interrogation of organized crime suspect Chaturanga Pushpakumara, alias “Summitpura Chathu,” who was recently arrested in Oman and extradited to Sri Lanka.
Following his arrival in the island, “Summitpura Chathu” was handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division for further investigation.
Reports indicate that he is a key suspect in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa and was a wanted fugitive in connection with multiple other high-profile crimes committed across the country.
